We ponied up $15 each to see the game today, thinking it'd feel like a waste of money by the time we left.
We couldn't have been more wrong! The game rocked; the atmosphere got better and better as the minutes ticked by. By the we went on that 15-0 run to retake the lead, the DMC was rocking. I've never seen that before. It's a blast.
Froggies looked like they wanted it more, and went and took it.
The MWC basketball race is officially completely unpredictable.

Sounded great on the radio from Austin (both the game and the crowd noise). Only wish I could have been there. Starting to sound like the good ol' days . . .

I was there and it was a legit 4,000. There was a line about 35-40 people long waiting to buy tickets at tipoff. Crowd was a little quiet at first, but as the second half got going and the Frogs made their 15-0 run, it was rockin' probably more than it has since Billy left.
Kudos to Jim Christian and staff. You're turnin' the sucker around. This was the kind of win that gets people talking and word of mouth spreads and people start coming. You deserve all the credit. You. Your coaching staff. Your kids, who are hustling their you-know-what's off for you. 2-0 in league play. That's awesome. Here's to more of the same!
Thanks to Jason Byrne for having a halftime program of some sort this game. There's still opportunity for some real creative thinking and fun, but the Cheer Factory was better than nothing, which is what was rolled out for the Colorado State game. I'd love to see a Frat Olympics out there. Or a dorm vs. dorm 5-minute mini-game with a pizza party as the prize. Or a three-point contest among student government officers. Something like that. I'm a decade-plus out of TCU and I would pay to watch that.

It was barely better than nothing. On a grading scale, Cheer Factory is barely a "C". That's no knock on the kids who performed or on their performance. I'm not giving Byrne Brain any thanks for barely doing his job (I'm sure Cheer Factory approached TCU and not the other way around. How tough is it to say "yes" when you have nothing else planned.) Any of the things you mentioned would be much better. That's what pisses me off about that knucklehead. It's not hard to come up with better ideas. He's either incompetent or lazy. I'm going with all of the above.

Halftime, schmalftime. The game-time performance is what'll get people in the stands. And for the first time in... a long time, it's doing just that.
Best entertainment $15 I've spent in a long time.

That was the most fun I've had at DMC since the NIT run. It was really nice
to see the crowd get into it when we made that late run.
HERE'S TO MORE GAMES LIKE THAT.

If that were true, there wouldn't be 2,000 people out in the parking lot while a Top 25 program is playing season in and season out in Amon G. Carter Stadium every fall.
This is TCU. Unfortunately, for some people around here, great programs with quality kids and coaches hustling and fighting for their university is not enough.

He does have a comfortable seat though along the scorer's table. Kull too.

Points! I like points. We suddenly over the last two games are scoring. Much much better. I like it. Gotta admit for a while I was real worried with all those 60 point games and JC insisting that he didn't want to see the competition score over 50 or the team would run laps. Boring.

In the stands, I was impressed with the student section more than the attendance in general. Those still small in size, they were rowdier than usual. They were actually, almost, like a student section.
On the court, the off-the-ball movement was better than I've seen it in quite a while. Guys were actually trying to get open. I could honestly care less if we score big points - scoring does not automatically mean interesting - as long as wins are the result.
