1/2 time break
SMU is soooo horrible.
May be Dougherty's last year in Moody.
We're just 2-10 from 3 line.
Can't be proud of this ...it is sooo ugly. Juco game.
But hey ..were 10 up

Hey--we're headed in the right direction, with a real coach. Good win.

Not good win... hard to watch... a few people out there wanted to get home early for the holidays...but a win nonetheless
Glad you were one of the 100 adults there tonight under the age of 50.

We had what 2 ...three pointers until the 1/4th of the game.

Note: they quit guarding us being down by 15.
SMU coaching error. Was sitting in his seat yawning.

Worst SMU team we've seen in awhile. Gon't get gaddy on us just yet.

Well, I see this game a little differently. I think our offense looked much better tonight than in the last couple of games, I think the kids are finally picking it up. Even saw some great backdoor passes and much better ball movement on offense. Now some of that is SMU being a pretty bad defensive team but the improvement was very obvious to me. 45% shooting is not bad and I am very encouraged by Ronnie Moss.

I thought you told me not to under estimate Matt D? I told you he was horrible.

I guess I just can't believe everything I read then copied from Wikipedia.

He was terrible you are correct.
Guess I was just trying to make an interesting game out of it.
It wasn't.

Just because they were worse than us?
How do you think this is going to play out when we hit higher elevations?

SMUoooo
3-Pt. FG% 1st Half: 1-6 16.7% 2nd Half: 1-7 14.3% Game: 15.4%
-----
TCU
3-Pt. FG% 1st Half: 2-10 20.0% 2nd Half: 2-7 28.6% Game: 23.5%
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We had 2 players who made a trey. One with 3 of 9 (1 in the 1st half) and the other with 1.
You can't honestly be impressed with that.

62 points on that team ?

I am glad we won the game but we are not a very good basketball team
this year. It is plain to see we will struggle with teams that can play but
are capable of beating bad teams. In three years if we play this way then
I will be very unhappy til then I will just chill.

This year will be a stuggle.
We will be much better next year. Two years we will contend.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised by this team at the end of the year. Because they're being taught basketball for the first time, it's clear when you watch them that they are overthinking everything. That's a good sign because they're listening to the coach and trying to implement what he's teaching them. The bad news is that basketball isn't a sport where you can overthink on the court and succeed. They're getting open shots and have much better shot selection than under Cornelius. Not very many of them are going down (yet). But I'm confident that as they get more comfortable those will start falling.

I'm not saying we're going to be making the tournament or anything, but I bet you'll feel a lot better about the team and the direction of the program in February.

JC is the real thing. He knows BB. It will all come together one of these days... down the road. Next years recruits are excellent choices, Moss and Bultler will grow and improve with time. We will grow our middle and we will have something to be happy and proud of. This year will be a journey of trials and tribulations. I hope for a few suprises. It will be an interesting year. Hope to see the shooting improve as that will provide us our best opportunities to win now. Were too thin inside and outside right now. Hope the games get more exciting this year as we anticipate and have no doubt we will have a bright BB future out there somewhere.
Sorry if some of us are impatient...we've been waiting a long time.

I totally undertand. Watching what Cornelius did to these kids and this program just about killed me.

If this team wins more than 6 games in conference I'll be the most surprised
man in town. My sons' HS team has better shooters than the Frogs and play
just as good on defense.

I hope that by the end of the season we'll be better but I don't think
it will show up in the W/L record. Other than Butler, I'd be surprised if
anyone on the current roster will be major contributors when we're good.

Got lots of great nunbers against St Gregory (a winless NAIA) team.
Was that a Pad or what? Your sons HS school team is next.
