the Junez said a little birdie told him FSU would be joining in the next few days. take it for what's it worth.
Yep, heard it as well. Stated the little birdie told him there could be an announcement by the end of the week.

Normally he's an "I'll believe it when I see it" kind of guy, so for him to say that may carry some weight.

TCU will be in the Big 12 East with Florida State, West Virginia, Clemson, and Kansas State.

That's what bothers me about adding eastern teams to get to 12.

I'm afraid he might be serious.

If Clemson and FSU are the eastern teams we add to get to 12, I would hope there'd be ZERO complaints. Those are two very solid additions. Much better than raiding the Big East leftovers.

Sweet, we'll be in the conference championship every year.

After TCU takes a few of UT's top recruits. UT decides, time to move TCU to the Big 12 East, now they can tell parents and prospective recruits, "You see, we play all of our games in Texas and Okalhoma. TCU plays all of theirs in Florida."

I'm not complaining about the programs added, not at all.
What I am complaining about is a competitive disadvantage for TCU, if there is a Texas-Oklahoma division (UTx, OU, OSU, TTech, Baylor, a Kansas school) and an Also-ran division (TCU, a Kansas school, ISU, WVU, 2 east coast newbies).
We'll be stuck, again, playing a bunch of away games at distant locations that will not support a lot of TCU fan travel for our away games compared to driving to Texas and Oklahoma schools. Our opponents, while outstanding football programs for the most part, would not be traditional rivals for TCU. Disappointing if such a divisional conference develops.

Throw Baylor in the East too, plus a guaranteed rotating matchup against UT and Tech each year, and you've got yourself a deal.
I wouldn't mind that arrangement at all.

TCU's original spread offense

In that case I hope the B12 goes P12 style and guarantees all the Texas schools play eachother every year.

I am serious. Who do you think will go to the East if they need a team? Texas? OU? TCU as the last man in the lifeboat will get the red-headed step child treatement.
I'm not complaining, it would be a fun division.
