Tonight at the TCU premier Frog tailgate, Coach Patterson spoke (briefly- very briefly) ... paraphrasing -"Kelsey is building us a new home and I'm building this new house behind me. " I won't be real accurate on the next part (the martinis were flowing freely) but CGP spoke of the long trek to where we are and then the part I found most interesting: "and we'll be together another twenty years". This was the gist of his brief speech. Seemed very promising to me.

Wait, there was a Premier Frog tailgate tonight? Why didn't I get an invite?

Did you offer to bring martinis? If you didn't, there is your answer.

The Premier Frogs Brotherhood is the secret society that orchestrated the whole "how to screw over B4P" in the reseating process scheme.  Not just anybody can be involved.

Sssshhh!  Dammit, Sangria, that wasn't supposed to get out.  Now Bonner is going to start a whole new line of whining posts about how everybody is against him.

An attention-commanding, rising young executive, an absolute expert betting wizard (Vegas and Atlantic City await his pronouncements), a top-notch natural golf talent akin to Bobby Jones, a young man with laser-like, crackerjack good judgement whom the Chancellor, the Trustees, Del Conte, and Patterson would do well to listen to, and an all-around man's man whom we should aspire to emulate (what kind of razor does he shave with?  I have to get one) -- yet all the jealous, no-talent, stupid, blindered, myopic world is oblivious to his innate superiority and is conspiring to keep him down.  This all became suspect to him when he didn't get 50-yardline club seats.  It's almost as clear as day.

Nevertheless, the Brotherhood had a decent chance of keeping the full truth from him until you blabbed it all over the internet.  Now you've done it.

Oh, great...

Another well-intentioned post about LHCGP's commitment to TCU derailed with comments about fan privileges, priority points, secret societies, and B4P.

Good job, Deep.

Hater!

TBQH I only have one piece of advice for LHCGP and that is to stop playing nice. Why we did not score 100 on Baylor in 2010 I will never understand.

Yes, an insult derived from a self-entitled but worthless and intellectually inferior literary character is not understood by the target of the insult.  Your characterization of the result as backfiring further compounds and reinforces the insult. You're not helping yourself.

I hate that I missed this yet again.  I seem to miss it every year because of a scheduling conflict.  My 5 year old "graduated" from pre K last night  .  I wish they'd do 2 of these.  I really want to make it because it sounds like a great time.  Maybe next year.

I wish TCU would do more alumni events for us non "young alumni" in our 30's and 40's.  That was one of the things I tried to express in their online survey a few weeks ago.
All through the winter of '43, we had translators working in joke-proof conditions to try and produce a German version of the joke. They worked on one word each for greater safety. One of them saw two words of the joke and spent several weeks in hospital. But a part from that, things went pretty quickly, and we soon had the joke by January in a form which our troops couldn't understand, but which the Germans could.

To get back to OP's observation - God smiled on TCU when Gary Patterson walked into town.

I sincerely hope administrators realize the importance of making him a permanent fixture on Stadium Drive!

I, for one, wouldn't be opposed to attaching his name to the stadium, in some manner.

Perhaps a bronze statue depicting him hiking up his pants, or retying his shoelaces.

Go Frogs!  Can't Wait For Next Year!

It was very nice, very well done, and I thought the price was more than fair. It is the first social thing like this, for TCU, that the wife and I have attended in awhile (my kids are older now and Mom and Dad can escape more readily - k graduation are silly in my opinion, but I went to all three for my girls). I digress ... it was very nice.

They may not have a choice, the person who doesn't resign CGP to a contract, won't make it a year before they are run out of town. He made it pretty clear, in his own CGP way, that stadium is his.
