Skye was a track guy in HS that played FB. Had no offers but blazing speed. TCU took him and he has really done well, IMO. Sure he dropped some. Most do. Remember the long ball he caught vs Oregon State in Jerry's world. That turned into a TD and it was a great catch. He has done Ok in my book.
Believe most everyone feels he's done 'ok'. And if he would have dropped the OSU one... then most likely he's not even a thread topic, as we could have lost that one. The biggest Red Herring in my books on him is of the top 5 wideouts returning, the other 4 WRs averaged 4 or more ypc than Skye... and 3 of the 4 were HS-FR.
So, am thinking along with Jake ... that his most value spot is out wide as a decoy, taking the attention of a CB and distracting a Saftey too, which gives the other 3 recievers more freedom. We only have to throw it to him a couple of times a game to get quality value out of him.
Most probably at least 1 of the 2, 2012 HS-FR WRs(counting Gilbert as WR), will make the 8 WR rotation. It fits into CGP's recruiting... that you'll be given a chance to play as a HS-FR if you're mature enough.
