Believe we would agree the LB's stepping-up was big and needed. How good are they really, we will know at Kansas. Hopefully they put on at least 10lbs. ea. by then.

Words to live by......an ongoing concern......
Vulgarity is like art - everybody thinks they know what it is, yet nobody can agree on what it is.
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it...no matter how off-base it is.

Who stepped up on offense:
Eric Tausch-showed he can be a solid backup who can move to the 1s almost anywhere on the line without missing a beat.
Casey Pachall-took a big leap in leadership and overall growth as a QB.
Ben J Catalon-probably will RS but showed he could play right away if needed.
LaDarius Brown-will be hell on defenses.
Who needs work on offense:
James Dunbar-basically needs to stay healthy.
Who stepped up on defense:
Stansly Maponga-its his DL now, the warrior became a leader.
Kevin White/Travoskey Garrett/Jason Verrett-LaDarius gave them hell but overall really improved as a unit.
LBers Danny Heiss/Joel Hasley-walk-ons competed very well for potential PT
Who needs more work:
Weak safeties-Jonathan Anderson needs to pick up the calls better and who is his backup?

We apologise again for the fault in the subtitles. Those
responsible for sacking the people who have just been sacked
have been sacked.

Can our secondary come thru, plenty of talent, but can they produce? Can we stop the run with smallish linebackers. With monster DT's and good ones, can they protect the walk on's?
We score a bunch, and get scored on, a bunch. Maybe, with the best defensive mind anywhere, he can figure a miracle.......

Heard from a couple different people that LaDarius Brown is turning into a BEAST!
Great to hear... especially with his 43" vertical, prior to gaining a few lbs... so 42" vertical worse case.
Cheers !

We have skinny linebackers.
We have skinny linebackers.
You mean we didn't know that prior to Spring Ball. Whos to say McFarland won't make the 2 deep at 6' 3" 240... plus Ladarius is at 230/Gildon at 235 and Cain has grown to 225. If I remember correctly, Washington played at 215 or 220 and is doing just fine in the pros. So we'll be fine there.
Cheers !

Lots of knicked up players but don't think anything serious. OL looked good when they were all healthy.
Who stepped up on offense:
Eric Tausch-showed he can be a solid backup who can move to the 1s almost anywhere on the line without missing a beat.
Casey Pachall-took a big leap in leadership and overall growth as a QB.

That's good stuff... who ended up looking like the most likely to fill in the 3 open spots on OL. Was there any specific mention at DT.?. the DE starters are most likely set....
Cheers !

LT: Dunbar
Guards: Fultz and Woolridge
Center: Frosch
RT: Tayo
The Thompson boys and Tausch should provide some nice depth. Have some redshirt freshmen that could probably contribute if needed too. Not too worried about the O-line. We converted a TE to RT last year and did just fine. This year we have a 6'7" giant. I'm more worried about the D-Line. The tackle spots are incredibly young. Hopefully, Chucky Hunter and Jon Lewis take big leaps this year. Also, we need more pressure from the defensive end spot opposite Maponga. Hopefully, Lathan and Devonte Fields can contribute as freshmen. A great D-line could go a long way in helping our incredibly young secondary.
Re LaDarius Brown: It really looks like this kid could be our secret weapon this year. 6'4", 220 with a 40 in the 4.4 range is going to be a matchup nightmare. For CGP to be giving him praise this spring he must be pretty impressive.

Everything I've read points to the starting O-Line as:
LT: Dunbar
Guards: Fultz and Woolridge
Center: Frosch
RT: Tayo

Fry & Tausch are the centers

Absolutely loaded at DE with addition of Fields & Carraway. Maponga set and Koontz has exploded along with Murphy. Matt Anderson and Ross Forest have plenty of experience despite injuries.
DT really looks as good as this team has had in a while.
