Verrilli stuck trying to defend the indefensible

Perhaps it's not stupidity--at least as far as the Administration goes--but audacious arrogance that the Federal Government can do anything it wants without being challenged.  Whichever, it connotes an Administration completely out of its depth when confronted with any kind of challenge.  This would tie in well with my earlier post about Obama having never faced a real challenge or forced to defend his record.

It makes me uneasy--you never know how someone who feels cornered is going to react when they're out of options.
