Zimmerman did, in fact, commit homicide. That fact is not in dispute. As for "murder" I'd say his actions fit at least 2-5 of the following. You can dispute #1 if you want--hopefully it
will be disputed in a court of law at some point--and I suppose #6 doesn't apply:
1. To kill (another human) unlawfully.
2. To kill brutally or inhumanly.
3. To put an end to; destroy: murdered their chances.
4. To spoil by ineptness; mutilate: a speech that murdered the English language.
5. Slang To defeat decisively; trounce.
6. A flock of crows.
