- Mattson's emergence at first is a little surprising. He is supremely athletic, so I am not surprised he can handle it defensively (even though he didn't take one ball there all fall or spring), but I am surprised how effective his bat has been. Coaches are a little surprised too, but you have to just chalk it up to him being a "gamer" and leave it at that.
- I still think that the better, and ultimate lineup would be Odell at short and Gonzalez at second, but for now we will continue with the Odell/Jones experiment.
- Suiter and BJ could both get time at DH this weekend.
