Isn't that what earlier threads lay reference to?
Amazing what a couple of wins over top-20 teams will do for a program.

No less a stellar coach than Utah's Rick Majerus called DMC one of the toughest places to play he had seen. Utah still won the game, thanks to a great adjustment to control Malcolm Johnson, who was shooting out of his mind. They did a great job of keeping him from getting the ball, dammit. Still a great game. DMC can get very, very loud with a good crowd.
So I told my friends I was going to a Loch near Auchtermuchty, and they said "Wear the Fox Hat?"

Is it Wichita State that has/had the exact same building as DMC? I remember a thread about this.DMC has been a tough venue for opposing teams to play. Especially during the Killer and Tubbs eras. We would lose by 20 at a good team's place, then beat that team by 20 at DMC. The acoustics there are great. That is why I hope they move carefully with the renovation of DMC. Concentrate on the cosmetics on the outside of the actual arena, dressing rooms, etc. Pretty-up the arena a little, but keep that home-court advantage.

Looks like they kept the inside pretty much the same, but really upgraded the exterior and concourse area.

Answered my own question.

Wow, the outside and concourse look great. Would love to see DMC have such a clean, modern exterior. That, right next to the new football stadium, would be really impressive.

Something like that would be great, keeping in line with the style of ACS. Great exterior, better concourse, better dressing rooms would really be great, and should help recruiting a lot.Wow, the outside and concourse look great. Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Purdue and probably several other schools have basically the same arena as TCU too. Ole Miss' is literally exactly the same
Univ of Louisiana- Monroe almost identical also.

If Del Conte would just make a commitment to updating the concourse and giving the DMC a face lift, it would not only really help recruiting to have a better looking stadium, but the DMC wouldnt seem near as old
I have to say that I prefer the old seats... I'm not a giant, but I'm a big dude (6'4, 290), and my wide hips (or thunder thighs) make it awfully uncomfortable to sit in those damn new seats.

3-15-2013. Never forget.
