IMO modifications to the offensive play calling have been made to better suit the starting qb's strengths. I don't see that as changing anything, but only adapting to the talent. It would be hard for me to imagine CGP discarding the power run game because it eats up time and allows fewer possesions for the opposition while the defense rests.

Cody Thomas is the best QB prospect in the country. Might go baseball, but I would like to get him.

Whats his interest level?

He has great vision and is very accurate. Question is, is he mobile enough?

TE Smythe from Belton commits to UT over Stanford. This guy was our first TE offer.

I think our staff knew we weren't in play here and went ahead and offered Reid.

Thomas runs a 4.5. He's 6'5 210 and has a cannon. Very accurate and that is why USC is down here hustling the guy. He can go anywhere he wants. He likes us because we can offer football and baseball.

The thing I like about him is he is 6'0 and 190 already. He could get to 200 and be a powerful force, with our offense....Would fit right in with Catalon down the road a little.

Pretty sure Corion Webster has already been offered
"If you want any one thing too badly, it's likely to turn out to be a disappointment. The only healthy way to live life is to learn to like all the little everyday things, like a sip of good whiskey in the evening, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk, or a feisty gentleman like myself"

Looked like Houston was just letting Gunner know since he refreshed this thread, but have another. Thanks for the updated list though.

Okay Talor, you shouldn't read Gunner's post. He's repeats stuff so much.

There's another terrific QB we are in on from down south, big, fast, and accurate. He's 6'4 220 and can help any team.

Great work Feisty....I would add that RB is a big need for 2013. There is a huge gap after this year. It is possible that we lose not only Wesley, Tucker and Dean, but also James if he decides to go early after a big year. In that case, wow, we are really thin. Even if he does stay, with injury possibilities, James/Cat/Anthony is still thin. We need 2 RBs in this class IMO.

Feisty, is that your interpretation of needs, or did you get that from one of the coaches? IMO we have a lot of talented young receivers and safeties. We really need linemen on both sides of the ball, along with a couple of linebackers and a couple of running backs.
"When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion- When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing- when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors- when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you- when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice- you may know that your society is doomed." -- Ayn Rand
