Yep. Actually, I think we intercepted a pass at the end and on the ensuring run back one of our guys de-cleared on of their players. Similar to the Baylor kid (hicks?) that got blowed up during a Kerley punt return.

Correct. Godbolt picked off a pass from their backup (I think we had knocked Van Pelt/"Sunshine" out of the game) and took it back something like 50 yards all the way down to about their 35 or so, if I remember correctly. I want to say it was K-Hill who had the de-cleater that flared tempers, but I'm not certain. It very well might have been McDonald.

Side note - I can't remember if this actually went down, or if it was just a rumor I heard later, but does anyone else remember anything about Van Pelt being so pissed off/frustrated that he flipped GP the bird when he tried to walk over & congratulate their players on a good game?

Godbolt picked it off at the 12 and took it to the CSU 40. Someone got knocked out around midfield, but you can't see it.

Is the link to the torrent still active? All I can find are some .png files on the OP. What am I doing wrong?

Send me one too. I'd also like a DVD of the game if that becomes available.

I could master a fairly quick DVD. It wouldn't have a million bells and whistles, but it would have menus, be able to jump chapters of say 3 minutes, etc. if you need that. PM me if you want.

Anyway, I'd rather you spent your time on the Sun Bowl .avi!!!

Were you able to make one for yourself? That is more important. I can figure it out eventually. Been swamped at work so I have not had as much time to dedicate to my offhours production.

Sun Bowl is in the works! I also am in touch with someone who might have a few other gems.

I've got copies of almost every game that was televised from '98 to '02 on VHS. Have been wanting to get them converted to DVD for a while, just haven't gotten around to it. Anyone have any suggestions on the best way to get these tapes converted to DVD?

If you're looking for a bulk job, there are services that do this. Look around for marriage videographers. They often have the equipment. It'll cost. Otherwise, doing it by hand is tedious, requires a fast multicore processor or lots of patience, and some software tools. It can be done with all freeware if you want, but depending on your expertise you may or may not want to fool around with the inconsistent and idiosyncratic interfaces you'll find there. Alternatively there is lots of professional software out there but it will cost.

Finally, if you happen to own a Linux box, there are near professional programs available for free.

Mostly I don't bother with DVDs. I have nearly 10 terabytes of storage at home, so I simply stick with .avi's in the main unless there's a good reason to make a DVD.

Oh OK JW. I felt bad because you had told me you wanted a DVD.

Yeah if I remember you took it somewhere and they wanted a ton of money. Doing it the way I do it is not too bad. I have the hardware device, a good computer, as well as cutting and encoding software. Not quite sure how a video shop would do it or if they can preserve as much quality.

Whoops..Don't be sorry. Even when I put something on a DVD, unless there is a reason not to, I usually only burn .avi's. Far more space available on the DVD that way (though less error-correcting code, of course). Most modern players can handle .avi's now. Heck, the TV I bought recently decodes them just fine off a USB stick. Times have changed!

I very much appreciate your work!

So far I am backing up just fine as my total data runs under 5 terabytes. I am a fanatic about backing up. Including off site (3 terabytes are in a portable USB3 drive that I can clone basically everything back from). Have been since the 70s.

wekl may remember the horrific problems we had when KTCU got a more powerful transmitter once around 78 or so. It caused the Xerox mainframe machine in Sid Richardson to crash about every 5 minutes. If you didn't back up constantly you could lose hours.

I use DVD Flick to turn my torrent files into DVD files. The program is free ware and easy to use. All you do is specify the file to burn, maybe add the a menu and name the disc. Takes a few hours.

OK cool I will try that. I don't use DVDs, but I think many on here prefer that instead.
