Here is the link to something I just found on 2011 baseball recruits. Whiting recruited several of these and am now wondering if any will follow him to Houston? Anyway, read the article and comment.

Thanks for the article. Impressive and I think you answered your question. If these players already signed are they not committed to play for the Frogs next year.
It looks to me like if Todd takes the job at Houston he will start recruiting his players but these guys have already signed with TCU.
I saw where Schloss is hitting the recruiting trail now. it looks like most of the work is done for the next class with maybe a key add on or two at the most.
Which means they are reconfirming and then recruiting for the next year. This year was huge but it can't get much better than it already is.
The other factor is the draft. In the past our guys who have been picked high are gone. Maybe now we can get them to rethink the option of coming to TCU and the chance to play on a team that goes to the CWS rather than riding around on a bus in the minors for a couple years.

Our success won't really have an effect as far as that goes in my opinion. The kids who get drafted high almost always sign. It's not like our success is presenting them with an option they haven't had previously. What our success WILL do is prove to area kids that they don't have to go to Rice or Texas to get to Omaha.

"Frey comes from powerhouse program at The Woodlands High School and should have an immediate impact for the Frogs," said Whitting. "He is a very athletic pitcher, who has a tremendous upside and feel for pitching. He will be one of top arms in Texas next spring."
I just had to highlight the quote..."powerhouse program at THE Woodlands". How did I get so lucky to attend The Woodlands and TCU?
