What is going on inside the TCU head shed?

I've already read we will lose funding for the stadium if we are not in a BCS conference--is the sky falling or is all that wild speculation and BS. If anything I would think now is the time to announce that TCU is expanding the football stadium to 55K and Lupton to 7K. If we can raise 100 million for the stadium, we can't raise 10 million for BCS inclusion like Memphis (if that is even true)? That 10 million could be repaid in one year from the additional revenue the athletic department would collect.
TCU is sure silent. I would think Fort Worth would be involved to a certain extent too?

By the way, they did not bend over and take it last time. If they had, we'd be sitting in C-USA right now, without a frickin' prayer.
We are on the cusp in the MWC -- a move by the administration that was as good as could have occurred last time around, considering the options. The MWC was already, by the BCS' admission, expected to make AQ status. And that was before Boise State was added!
There are a lot of people in this country looking for work, but how many are finding it? You can't force somebody to take you. You have to take the best thing that is available to you and go from there.
The MWC is focused on talking with Utah right now. If the Pac 10 does invite Utah, those talks are pointless -- but the MWC will not be in any worse position than it was before Boise was added.
But if the Pac 10 stays at 11 -- which is a very real possibility -- then the MWC is a certain lock to become AQ.

Dude? I am not a "Dude". And do you know any of this to be true or are you just another internet blow hard.

You like baseball? PM me and I will tell you where you can get a bat across your front teeth!
Calm down guys and lets don't threaten violence around here. We aren't a bunch of low class t shirt fans from UT so don't act like it
OK?

Here are some valid answers:
1. The TCU adminstration is smiling after the Frogs just whipped UT's arse (with a TCU baseball bat that hit a couple of big blows against UT's best reliever ever). Our attitude is good.
2. TCU is calling members of its own conference to reaffirm the results of the meeting this month. These are the people TCU are calling: BYU, Utah, Air Force and.....Boise now. Imagine the question is, "Are you staying?"
3. I don't know about the presidents or the ADs, but I bet KW, Bronco, GP, Calhoun, etc., have been in touch. These men do not think along the lines of, "If you can't beat them, join them." This is especially true after the MWC has dominted the PAC 10 in football the past years and gotten some strong wins over the Big 12, too.
4. Don't forget that a lot of MWC people have called us. Do you think Boise would join the MWC if it was going to lose Utah and BYU or TCU? Give Peterson a little bit of credit, too.
5. Also, I bet TCU has called UH, SMU, Fresno, etc. They do this in case the MWC does lose a member or two. How about Memphis, too? Maybe the MWC gets $10 when it becomes an AQ league with Memphis in it?
6. I'm sure it couldn't hurt, but why would TCU call UT, A&M, OU and ask for an invite? They turned us down last time. Who cares if we beat Northern Illinois, Iowa State or Boise in bowls outside of Fort Worth? We're still TCU, a small private school in a market that is already dominated by UT and A&M.
Finally, why has everyone lost their faith in our administration now? Despite a change of AD several times, TCU has kept Patterson and built a football program that is respected nationally, tried to rebuild its bball program, built a new baseball stadium, renovated and re-energized our campus and got us to a BCS bowl and the College World Series this year. Why have your lost your faith? Please explain to me what TCU should be doing.

Yes, I know the grief, because it was mentioned to me in a direct conversation with a very high-ranking TCU official during the MWC-consideration period. He even added that, "they (professors) drive by it (Lupton) each day, and it's a daily reminder to them."
As for the rest of it, if I really need to offer proof to you then there's no need of even wasting time on it.
Please relax.

I don't know ,but if I did I'd be running a college somewhere .
I agree with Putt here . Why don't we hear TCU's name in the rumors somewhere ?
We don't hear anything about us at any meetings or anything . Heard a lot about Baylor fighting for a spot at the table ,but not us .
I don't know and sometimes that's the scariest thing .
We have the best ,or at least among the best , football and baseball coaches in the ncaa . TCU neeeds to give them as good a chance as possible .

Frogs, did you even read my post? It was a series of questions and West Coast told me to shut up?
I am not looking for trouble but I won't accept being told to shut up for asking a series of questions. It is so easy for someone to disrespect and insult others when they are hiding behind their keyboard. A sorry would be nice but I doubt I get that.
As far as the stadium thing, I said I read it and I read it right here on another thread? Just asking if any of that crap is true. There are so many self proclaimed insiders/experts saying this and that and saying it like it is fact and not just fear spreading speculation. It is hard to sort through the BS and find the truth.
Go read all that crap and tell me if you don't have some questions? I doubt it, but just maybe there is someone on here who actually has some valid information and credibility.

I asked a series of questions Wes? Is it OK to ask questions about stuff I have read on here without being told to shut up?

I agree with Putt as well. We need to be pulling out all the stops (influential alumni, politicians, etc....) to position TCU in the best way possible FOR THE FUTURE! We are all kidding ourselves if we don't think eventually this is going to end up with four conferences and 64 teams or so even if it is another 5-7 years and the MWC isn't going to be one of them. Obviously results on the football field don't matter because it hasn't gotten us any calls from the big conferences. We need to politic just like Baylor did even if we don't have an alum as governor!
Worst case scenario: we try and maybe don't get anywhere but at least we tried!

I haven't lost faith and I didn't say the sky is falling. Thanks for the information. I will assume that you know it to be true. I didn't expect that TCU was calling Big 12 schools but if Big 12 expansion is a possibility it would make sense that they would have an iron in the fire, especially if other MWC schools were involved in that discussion? I can't explain what TCU should be doing, I don't have a clue. Just asked what are they doing?
