I'd be more worried about our defense if I thought there was a defense on our schedule that was going to stop our offense.

The glass half-full rather than half-empty.

All week. You are joking right? You can't build a player in a week. I understand these are all players CGP wanted, and I am sure they will turn into great players. GP will make it happen. It just won't happen overnight.

A big part of football is experience. Skill is nice, but you need the smarts of playing against different offenses week in/out. Compared to last year, we are working with less experienced players. Sure Washington was a first year starter, but he was also a senior. We also worked in a new SS, but our VERY experienced DB's were there as back-up.

We don't have experienced back-up this year.

Every LB we have is a sophomore or younger correct? Our SS's are both being hampered with injuries. GP isn't happy with our DE problem.

We have a LOT of youth on defense that will undoubtedly pay off in the long run. How soon can they pick this up though?

They went up against them every day, every week, during the FALL, during the season.

I'm worried about the whole coaching staff, team and season. Could be a big letdown after last year's remarkable season. Patterson and his staff are going to have to be even better in 2010. Arethey up to the challenge? Is the team up to the challenge? Patterson may be setting expectations by saying the paper today that right now, we're no better than a 6-6 team.

You've got a good point. Maybe we should all just sit in our darkened rooms, in a fetal position until the horrible season, which starts in 5 months, is over.

I was more worried last year with Tyler and Alex playing safety for the first time in their careers. With that being said I can't wait to see Jurrell Thompson, think this kid is really going to be a star. Between him, Maponga, and Kenny Cain were going to meet alot of new faces this year.
Thanks to CGP and the rest of the players for a very very memorable season, Go Frogs!

With GP talking about 6-6 season it might hurt our preseason ranking . That's my only worries . He has never been so public about injuries . If I recall correctly .

I'm not too worried about our defense... In Gary We Trust!

The only thing I want to happen this season is see TCU make it to another BCS Bowl. I think as long as we dominate in conference, and Wyoming and VT beat Boise, TCU will make it to the NCG. Almost every big school has lost their star players or coaches. Alabama, TCU, and Boise are the real powers next year, mark my words!!!

Lots of work ahead, that for sure, however with our coaches history, together with the players we have coming back and coming in, and throw in the fact that I believe we will control the hell out of the clock next season, I would bet we finish with a top 10 total defense next year.

Not worried about the defense.

As always, worried about the OL. Was the Boise game, where Boise's DL totally dominated our OL, an aberration, or did they do something that other defenses can imitate? The inability to run block (or make up for it by pass blocking) was the number 1 reason for the loss in my mind.

But, no, I think the defense will be fine.

I disagree Limp.

Don't feel like we ever established the run. More like we abandoned it. Our running backs only carried the ball 10 times for 39 yards but still 3.9 ypc. Turner was 7 for 22. Wesley was 2 for 8. Tucker was 1 for 9. What were they (OCs) thinking?
