PREGAME NOTES
- Lots of talk yesterday on the forums about a starting pitching change, which isn't happening for now. Teakell is getting an overhaul on his mechanics this week during some side sessions and will get at least one more start.
- Tuesday's starter, Brandon Finnegan, is the leading candidate to take that spot IF he can continue to build on positive outings. Nick Frey is the other weekend candidate, but after that there is no inclination from staff members that another rotation candidate exists.
- Injury List: Brance Rivera, Kevin Cron, Kyle Von Tungeln, Jantzen Witte, Josh Gonzalez. All are questionable, I wouldn't expect to see Brance, Kevin or Jantzen (obviously), but Kyle and Josh are possible.
- Look for TCU to try and put together some hits and get an early lead against Baylor. I think Brandon will definitely have a good start, and feel free to come back and call me a fool if I am wrong.
- TCU is not in the top 25 in any major poll. Baylor is #25 in the coaches poll
- I would love to see Kaleb Merck get into the game, try and get back on track. Rock and fire!
Stay Classy, Lupton Fans!

Coats was a little shaky in CF just because he is not used to playing there. Jordan took a bad angle on a ball that went over him in left. Seriously, we are hurting.

The last time he got work there was before the season started when we were initially worried he might have to play there due to KVT's hand injury... He got some balls there yesterday in practice, and will again today.
But he is not an average defender in center, period. You are going from plus range / plus arm to below average range / average arm.

I tell you what, I will have mitchell throw the ball at your head, while you are diving back to a bag, then you can get up and run a couple hundred feet at a full sprint, then tell me how you feel.

Meant to prevent serious brain injury, not to prevent any injury. It is totally plausible he had a minor concussion from the play.

Do you think we would remove from a key series game and then bench for the next game our best player, especially with all the injuries we have, if there was not a reason? Maybe a little common sense is in order.
He might not be truly hurt, but is being held out tonight for precautionary reasons. I don't know.

I never questioned that he was hurt, just questioned that it was because he got hit on a pick off attempt.
