We all here hope and pray that it WON'T say "young".  Well except at heart, of course!

Very true.

BTW, is anyone watching the "John Adams" mini-series on HBO?

The humping scenes of John and Abigail weren't covered in Dr Proctor's classes.

You planning on dying young?

Wait, that didn't come out right.......

You planning on dying young and large?

I didn't know that stuff like that happened in the '20s. Didn't casual sex begin in the '60s with those filthy hippies?  rolleyes.gif tongue.gif

20s indeed! To flesh out (don't get excited) my report, this was in 1956 and the guy in question was no rookie himself. One of those ``unforgettable character'' types, he was from a prominent family but had been given a choice by an Amarillo judge about 1948 -- ``Join the army or marry the girl'' -- and had joined the army. He was tending bar in the NCO club on Guam when the North Koreans invaded S. Korea. He was handed a rifle, t0ld he was now an infantryman, and shipped off. A while later he wound up being chased by a Red Chinese tank. Came back, got into UT on probation since he had never graduated HS, posted great grades as a freshman, and then, off probation, majored in beer drinking and carousing. Oddly enuff, I went to college in the 50s with several WWII and Korean vets, which broadened my outlook, improved my card-playing and imbibing skills and almost led to my flunking out. Oh, casual sex has always been around. It just didn't receive much publicity until the 60s or become really widespread until the pill removed some of the worry (this is surmise; I was married by the time the pill was in widespread use).

I haven't had a chance yet to catch up with my DVR, but now that you're telling me I have to look out for Paul Giamatti sex scenes, I'm not sure I want to.  Nothing wrong with Laura Linney ... hopefully we're seeing more of her ...

I've seen her, and I've seen you. You got nothing to worry about. Unless Louisville has a drastic and heretofore unsuspected effect on women.

Well, it's only 100 miles from Cincinnati, and it's just a stone's throw from Indiana.

Giamatti is playing Adams as fat, bald, and sweaty.  Unfortunately, you see more of him than Laura Linney.

Technically that sex was after college.  I graduated from TCU a virgin.  And the tanker pilot wasn't meaningless because it was a long (boring) relationship.  I'm talking about one night stands with hot guys.  Back then I was too worried about "finding Mr. Right" and "being in love".  blah, blah, blah

1956? Aw, I always imagined you dancing the Charleston and driving around in an old Model T Ford.  tongue.gif
